IV Vitamin Therapy

Everyone is unique and so are their nutrient requirements, thus we are very excited about our latest product offering – Intravenous Nutrition or IV vitamin therapy. A range of intravenous vitamins, minerals and amino acids administered at the practice.

What is IV Vitamin Therapy?

IV Vitamin Therapy is a way of administering nutrition through an intravenous feed. The nutritional supplements consist of different combinations of vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Here at the Practice we are offering this treatment as one of our biological systems and functional medicine services. This is a natural progression for us as we move our knowledge of biological systems into another arena. With the help and training of Intravita who have vast experience in this field, we are able to thoroughly assess people before administration, in order to minimise risk.

Here, the process involves completing a comprehensive health questionnaire, feedback from a doctor on the questionnaire, before receiving the intravenous drip. However, depending on the results of the questionnaire, a series of blood tests may need to be carried out before the intravenous therapy can be given. The appointment for receiving the intravenous drip is 1 ¼ hour with our nurse, overseen by the doctor. Everything is closely monitored medically and we follow up with our patients as this is a very new form of treatment. We will also do a short report from the questionnaire highlighting any potential future actions you might want to take. Download the NEW PATIENT QUESTIONNAIRE 2019 here.

We are excited because IV vitamin therapy fits so well with the individual attention and high-quality care you receive at PrivateGP. After a consultation with one of our clinicians we can create personalised IV treatments from our various types of IV vitamins. Book an appointment with us today, or contact us for more information.
