Pre-Employment Medicals

Private General Practice Services provides pre-employment medicals to companies and professional firms wishing to ensure that prospective employees are given appropriate adaptations for their jobs if they have a disability.

Our medicals includes a full range of tests to ensure the applicant is fit and healthy. The applicant will need to fill in a detailed Medical Questionnaire prior to his or her appointment. Employees must answer these questions truthfully or they could be in potential breach of contract if after being appointed any of the answers they have provided are found to be false. The medical includes a full physical examination by the doctor with a view to identifyinging any Potential Underlying Illness.

Measles In Europe

As we write, there have been over 1000 cases of Measles in France. Switzerland and Germany also have significant problems with measles. This is because these countries do not have such good immunisation coverage as we do in the UK. By contrast there have been 80 cases in England. The most recent outbreak of measles is at Leeds University where so far 15 students have been affected. The first case was exposed during a skiing trip to France.
