Practice Fees to January 1st 2011
A one off registration fee of £30 is payable by credit card at the time of booking a first appointment. All other fees are payable immediately after the consultation by cash, cheque or credit card. There is however no registration fee payable for those clients requiring a travel vaccination or hpv vaccination only.
Insurance companies in the UK do not cover fees for visits to GPs. However tests and x-rays are usually covered. Acupuncture is also usually covered as Dr Piper holds a UK accredited diploma in Acupuncture.

Doctor's fees:
- £70 for a 15 minute consultation.
- £130 for a 30 minute consultation.
- £250 for a 1 hour consultation.
Nurse Fees:
- £25 for a 15 minute consultation
- £50 for a 30 minute consultation
- £100 for a 1 hour consultation
Pro rata time related payment will be charged for shorter or longer consultations. Surgery hours are from 9am to 5pm. Out of hours calls are charged at 1.5x the hourly rate.
Please remember that Doctor's Fees and Nurse Fees also apply to telephone conversations/consultations or indeed any other form of medical contact since the work for us is the same.
Procedures (including blood tests etc) command additional fees, please discuss with Dr. Piper or the Practice Nurse at the time of consultation, and see the enclosed detailed guide.

- Charges for onsite surveillance include a data collection agency being seconded onsite to collect the data
- Private General Practice Services will then communicate medical information and results to the company or firm whilst protecting the confidentiality of the employees. The cost of concluding summaries and advice to the company or firm consequent upon the health surveillance is included in the quotation.
- Other services, including employee medicals, executive health checks and return to work opinions are charged at the current hourly rate of £250
- A full range of occupational health services is available, and prices can be obtained on request.

Integrated Therapies
Whilst much is known about the importance of traditional medicine and the evidence for its continued use, far less is known about alternative medicine and integrated therapies. 25 years ago, they were considered unorthodox, but today they are very much more accepted and openly practised. Research shows that 90% of us use them in one form or another, and we know that when correctly and safely administered by open-minded and trained professionals, how beneficial they can be for body, mind and spirit.

Swine Flu Vaccinations are now available at the practice for anyone whos is in an 'at risk' group. This includes 1. Children aged 6 months to 5 years, 2. Anyone suffering from a chronic illness or whose immune system is compromised or anyone living with such a person, 3. Pregnant women.

This year's annual flu vaccinations are now available from the practice. Please ring to book an appointment. You may also like to consider having a Pneumococcal vaccination to immunize you against Pneumonia which is a potentially severe complication if you do get flu.
