New addition to our PGPS family

cup of herbal teaWe are excited to announce a new addition to our PGPS family. As of November Dr. Edward Thompson will be joining us on a part-time basis. Dr. Edward Thompson started his career as a complementary medical practitioner in Cambridgeshire and later went on to study general medicine. He is a qualified GP with over 20 years’ experience and specialises in Integrated Medicine.  He is trained in herbalism, hypnotherapy, Chinese herbal medicine, traditional Chinese acupuncture and Ayurvedic medicine.

His medical services complement Dr. Julia Piper’s work in Functional Health, Bio-identical Hormone Treatment, Nutrition and Western acupuncture. Like Dr. Piper, his aim is to guide patients on a holistic journey to health. By spending quality time assessing his patients, in a therapeutic environment, he searches for the root of the cause; tailoring treatment plans to serve the unique needs of each individual.

Combining conventional Western medical practice with alternative or complementary healing integrated medicine aims to help optimise health to bring you back to a place of balance. By looking at physical health, lifestyle, diet, nutrition and emotional well-being Dr. Thompson is able to offer herbal and homeopathic medicines to help regain and maintain health, keeping drug treatment to a minimum. The herbal medicines used have been through stringent tests and are of a high quality.

Dr. Edward Thompson is registered with the General Medical Council, Royal College of General Practitioners, Unified Register of Herbal Practitioners, Alliance of Registered Homeopaths and the British Register of Complementary practitioners. He also shares his knowledge at conferences and through teaching at local institutions.

He is a valuable addition to our practice and will provide even more ways for you to bounce back to health with us. Phone us to find out more and to book an appointment.
