Seeing a Doctor privately helps in so many different ways.

Your experience will begin with your initial telephone call where a friendly voice will work with you and fit you in to see a Doctor of your choice at a mutually convenient time. Appointments are usually available almost immediately and you will be able to pay to get as much time as you need with the Doctor of your choice. This helps many people who, in some cases, have to wait several weeks for an appointment and have to see whoever is there at the time.

Here, we have the choice of a male or female doctor. The staff place your needs as their highest priority and will work hard to ensure that your visit to us is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Do please take time to read through the Patient Guide and Patient Fees prior to your visit to us and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to speak to our receptionists when you arrive here. We try to provide a relaxing ambiance within our reception area and always welcome feed back concerning your visit to us. We usually have music and aromatherapy in our main reception lounge and we are pleased that so many people talk to us and tell us how much they enjoy their visit her. We do have a patient exit survey within the patient guide and very much welcome feedback and information about how we can improve even more.

Here at Private General Practice Services, we do not expect you to de-register from your NHS GP. On the contrary, we believe you pay your taxes and are therefore are entitled to receive free care at the point of delivery if you so choose. However, there may be occasions where you need to see a Doctor more urgently or where you need more time to talk through difficult issues. Patients who register with us occasionally only come and see us once at a challenging time in their lives. Other patients come to the surgery more than once, sometimes having had a several gap in between as they may have see their NHS Doctor in the intervening time. However, this is no problem for us as we always retain your records on our computerised system and will be able to access your medical history with ease.

Some patients do de-register from the NHS where upon they also buy into our 24 hour on-call service called Personal Care. Other patients come to see us on a regular basis without de-registering from the NHS and use the NHS service for out of hours cover.
