ALLERGY CLINICS

The Practice now offers a service with Mrs Rosie Clarke, our new nurse. She runs Allergy Clinics together with Dr Piper. During these clinics, a full medical history will be taken and either skin tests or blood tests can be carried out to further assess your allergies. For consultations with Dr Piper, the usual fees apply. For a half hour consultation with the nurse, the charge will be £50. The skin test is £50 for the first allergen, and £10 for each allergen thereafter. Blood tests are £50 for the first allergen and £21 for each additional allergen after this. Blood tests results require a second consultation as they take several days to receive results. The skin prick tests can be assessed on the day of attendance.

The Practice is one of the few suppliers of Grazax in Leicester and East Midlands area. This is a new immunotherapy to try and help cure hay fever for those severe sufferers.
